KUALA LUMPUR, 14 / MAY / 2022 - The opening of the flyover connecting Jalan Langgak Golf with Kampung Pandan Roundabout from 12 midnight tonight, is expected to reduce traffic congestion along Jalan Tun Razak here, especially during peak hours.

Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim said the project, which started on July 10, 2017, was fully completed last Wednesday (May 11) involving the construction of a 2.8 -kilometer (km) total elevated road with a main route of 1.2 km. He said the construction of the RM492.5 million project also involved a total of 1.6km of exit and entry ramps, with the construction of nine exit and entry locations as well as infrastructure such as new street lights and retaining walls.

“The Ministry of Federal Territories together with its agency, Kuala Lumpur City Hall will continue to be committed in upgrading the traffic system, public transport and the development of traffic facilities for the convenience of the people, especially city dwellers. "This commitment is in line with the Malaysian Family government's goal to make Kuala Lumpur one of the best cities in terms of traffic network, besides being able to meet the needs and aspirations of the people," he said when addressing the opening ceremony of the flyover here today.

Shahidan said the flyover also connected the exit and entry routes of the Maju Expressway to facilitate users from Putrajaya and Puchong to enter Kuala Lumpur and give access to users who want to exit Jalan Bukit Bintang. He said the project was also planned to be connected to the Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway in the future.
