Police: 14-year-old impersonator used mother's MyCAD to enter Serdang Hospital | Halek Hossain

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 9 - A 14-year-old girl, who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of trespassing and impersonating a doctor at Sultan Idris Shah Hospital in Serdang, used her mother's MyCAD to gain unauthorized access to the facility, police said today. .


According to Sepang police chief Superintendent Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusuf, initial investigations indicated that the teenager posed as her mother to enter the hospital.

He also confirmed that the police had recorded the statement of the girl's mother last night.


“This morning, the teenager was brought to the Sepang Magistrate's Court for a remand application. We have received a two-day remand order to investigate the case from today," he was quoted as saying by the New Straits Times.

One Qamarul Azran added that the case is being investigated under Section 470 of the Penal Code for trespassing and Section 170 of the Penal Code for impersonating a public servant.

Asked about the girl's mental state or the need for a mental health assessment, Wan Qamarul Azran said the police could request such an assessment if the case reaches court.


Earlier, Wan Kamarul Azran confirmed that a 14-year-old female suspect was arrested yesterday in the lobby of Serdang Hospital Sultan Idris Shah for impersonating a doctor.


Scrubs and a hospital sink were also seized by the police.


Initial investigation revealed that the suspect had trespassed into the hospital's operating room, claimed to be a doctor and offered to assist in surgery.
