Halal Dating: What is it, and does Islam approve of it?

In the Western world of temptation, it is difficult, but not impossible, to keep love pure and halal. Find out what the top Islamic scholars say about halal dating and how you can do it "And among His Signs is the majesty that He has created for you pairs so that you may use the tents of peace, and He creates in you gratitude and love. Indeed, in that are Signs for those who reflect." (QS 30:21)

Dating is important yet controversial for Muslims in the 21st century. Generally, Muslims are told not to meet their wives before marriage and it is condemned to question this mentality. In a real sense, Islam teaches us that love is kind, nourishing and pure. Meeting a spouse before marriage is perfectly permitted and permitted if done with the right purpose and proper. So how can we date in the right way? Especially in the Western world, which is full of temptations, limitations and misunderstandings?

Halal meeting

Islamic scholar Mufti Menk Halal explained the rules of the 'meeting', which he said taught young Muslims how dating is permitted in Islam if certain rules are followed.

1. What do you want?

The first step in achieving the halal way is to understand what you want. Halal dating requires looking for a long-term partner, which means you and your partner will have limitations and limitations but will be rewarded in the end. You must be mentally prepared and understand the rules and researching how they protect you can be helpful.

2. Tell your parents.

It is helpful to tell your parents and family about your motives. Being involved with them from the beginning will allow you to lead with truth and honesty, building positive relationships around you. Even if they initially disagree, they will begin to understand how Islam protects both sides. Be open to let them know who the person is and to consider their opinions.

3. Listening to the other half.

The person you are meeting may have different reactions to halal dating and adding or removing rules. Being clear and concise on both sides will help you to understand each other and move forward in a halal manner.

4. Dates should be in Chaperone or public setting.

The essence of halal dating is to protect both parties and give you a chance to read about your future wife's purity, personality and mentality. Scholars suggest that meetings should include a chapron or set in a public place where temptation is minimal.

5. Put a third person in the online chat.

A third party may be dormant and may not be involved in communication. The rule is advised to reduce emotions and maintain the purity of the relationship. By applying third parties, you can both lead to unity and integrity.

6. The person you meet may not always be the same.

You can talk to as many people as you need, and Islam allows it completely. With the pure intention of marriage, Allah will guide you and bring the right person in your life. Halal dating may differ from Western rules, but it protects you and your future wife. Even if you are dating someone you want to marry, you can use these rules for a healthy, vibrant and halal relationship.
